Social Media Usage in Asia Pacific: And they’re off!

If you do business in the Asia Pacific take note: educators in these countries are finding ways to integrate social media technologies into student learning. Why? Social media use in these countries is on the rise. You can bet if the schools are acknowledging a need to grab onto social media as a teaching tool it is likely a good tool for corporate and higher ed as well. A graphic developed by Two Social back in February 2015 shows the use of social media across the Asia Pacific region.

What does this mean for my company? Think of continued education. An employee completes a day-long training program. How do you make the content stick past that one day? Or the following week? Or into the next year? Social media allows us to push content into spaces where employees, or students, spend their time by choice anyway. It helps take information learned that resides in our short term memory and move it into our long term memory where it sticks!
