Project Description

The Hill Center, a school and training center for both teaching students with learning differences and training K12 teachers on how to teach students with learning differences, desired a portal to be designed to help them deliver online instruction to teachers at a distance. They had previously hired an application development firm to develop the system and later contracted with The Farthest Pixel for design services forĀ user interface design, user experience design and initial branding.

The HLS is similar to a learning management system, but extends to include a professional development component for the teacher-learners to manage and track their progress and better coordinate with mentors online. It also includes a searchable online resources component where administrators and users can contribute, and a classroom management section for teachers to manage their K12 student classes.
